Well my second day in the saddle was much like first, just a bit grimmer weather wise. Happily going a longer distance hasn’t crippled me either as I racked up 100 km today albeit slower than I’d like.
I blame the town of Crawley for this…it was an absolute nightmare to navigate and took me forever to get across. Luckily after that I hit a couple of cycle trails: the Worth Way and Forest road. I didn’t have to worry where I was going so could zip along at speed down them and even though they were unpaved tracks actually went faster than on the road.
Do you have the specifics of your precise route/cycle tracks etc all planned out or are you just pointing yourself in a direction and going for it?
Keep up the good work!
