As I write this I’m sitting in my tent in the middle of nowhere on the south downs. I selected a campsite in order to make a training ride there and back.
After today and leg one I may have bitten off more than I can chew. I covered 130km (80miles) and cycled just under eight hours, I’m not sure my body is going to want to repeat that tomorrow. Especially as some of the hills I hurtled down today seemed far worse than anything I had to climb. Even more worrying is that I am also going to have to find out whether my saddle is broken in… I’m pretty sure it isn’t.
On a positive note the countryside is beautiful, really exquisite little villages and wonderful views from the top of hills; I even saw the sea.
